Ekstraklasa Poland

The Ekstraklasa is a Polish football championship that is held annually. It is considered a top-flight competition. Competition for Polish teams. Thanks to PKO, it is now called PKO Ekstraklasa Bank Polski. The league used to be known as Liga 1 until recently. Now it is called PKO Ekstraklasy. PKO Bank Polski became the primary sponsor to help promote the sport.

The Ekstraklasa league is made up of 18 clubs and has nine rounds. Each club plays its own game. The season lasts 34 games and opponents are faced twice. There are also Champions groups for the top 8 teams and relegation group for the bottom 8. 2016 The league was divided into two phases. Each phase had 16 to 20 teams. Current Season is the longest and lasts 296 games.

Each team plays their opponent twice in the Polish league, which has thirty games. The championship is decided by the top eight teams, while the bottom eight fight for survival.
